El gobierno ha detenido y deportado a cientos de miles de personas a trav\u00e9s de un proceso conocido como deportaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida. La deportaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida no permite que los no ciudadanos soliciten asilo.<\/b><\/p>

La deportaci\u00f3n bajo expulsi\u00f3n r\u00e1pida es acelerada y las personas detenidas con frecuencia no saben por qu\u00e9 no pueden presentar su reclamo ante un juez.<\/p>

Es importante actuar con extrema rapidez cuando una persona se encuentra en proceso de expulsi\u00f3n r\u00e1pida. Si se determina que un no ciudadano tiene un miedo cre\u00edble de regresar a su pa\u00eds de origen, el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional presenta un Aviso para Aparecer (\u201cNTA\u201d)<\/strong> que inicia el proceso de deportaci\u00f3n.<\/p>

Nuestra oficina puede ayudar a solicitar asilo, remoci\u00f3n de deportaci\u00f3n y protecci\u00f3n bajo la Convenci\u00f3n contra la Tortura (CAT)<\/b>; cancelaci\u00f3n de orden de deportaci\u00f3n para Residentes Permanentes Legales o Residentes Permanentes no Legales, Ajuste de estatus y salida voluntaria.<\/p>

Las leyes de inmigraci\u00f3n permiten que las personas soliciten asilo si han sido objeto de persecuci\u00f3n en el pasado o si tienen un temor bien fundado de persecuci\u00f3n en el futuro por motivos de raza, religi\u00f3n, nacionalidad, opini\u00f3n pol\u00edtica o pertenencia a un grupo social en particular.<\/b><\/p>

Las personas pueden solicitar asilo en los Estados Unidos: (1)<\/b> Presentando una solicitud de asilo afirmativo ante USCIS; o (2)<\/b> a la defensiva con un tribunal de inmigraci\u00f3n.<\/p>

D\u00f3nde presentar la solicitud dependen de la situaci\u00f3n del solicitante.<\/p>

Un solicitante de asilo debe presentar su solicitud (I-589<\/b>dentro de un a\u00f1o de su \u00faltima entrada a los Estados Unidos.<\/p>

There are strict rules regarding the filing of motions to reopen once a final order of removal has been entered. Our office can submit motions to reopen to rescind\u00a0in absentia<\/em>\u00a0orders of removal where an individual did not appear because they were not provided notice of the hearing as well as under other circumstances.<\/p>

A Motion to Reconsider may be filed within 30 days of an Immigration Judge’s decision in a case<\/b>.<\/p>

Depending on your application category, you may be eligible for a work\u00a0permit. For example, once an application for asylum (I-589<\/b>) has been filed and the required time has elapsed, our office can assist with securing a work permit while removal proceedings are ongoing.<\/p>
